With a February 3 announcement, the Office of Inspector General of HHS launched a website showing the photographs and identifying information of its top ten most wanted fugitives. The OIG-HHS’s action continues the Obama Administration’s push – evident in its dramatic expansion of the DOJ/HHS Health Care Fraud Enforcement Task Force initiative – to change the government’s approach to health care fraud.
OIG-HHS’s website announced that the agency was seeking a total of 170 fugitives.
