As MainJustice.com reported, Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General Joyce Branda has received a permanent appointment to the position in the Civil Division, which oversees the Fraud Section in the Division’s Commercial Litigation Branch. Civil Fraud plays a significant role in virtually every major False Claims Act case the Department of Justice handles, and the permanent appointment of Ms. Branda ensures policy continuity in that office, of which she was director until earlier this year.
