In a complaint unsealed on February 2, a couple, former employees of the security company Blackwater, allege that the firm and its affiliates engaged in fraud in contracts in Iraq, Afghanistan, and in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

Among the allegations in the case (in which the US declined to intervene): deployment of unqualified personnel, falsification of timecards and expense reimbursement documentation, and federal reimbursement of a Phillipina prostitute. The Washington Post ran a story on the case in its February 11 edition.

Blackwater is now known as Xe Services, LLC.

The case was filed by Susan Burke of DC’s Burke PLLC.
